More about this footwear

Description

The Courteney Voortrekker is inspired by the original veldtschoen boots worn during the great migrations across Southern Africa. This low-cut design is crafted from two contrasting tones of ethically sourced Kudu leather — soft, breathable and marked by the natural character of the hide.

Built for comfort in warm climates, the Voortrekker features stitched-down construction and a ripple rubber sole as standard. Light on the foot yet hard-wearing, it’s ideal for everyday wear in dry country or town. Many South Africans refer to these as veldskoen or veldskoene, though “vellies” is often the name used in everyday conversation.

Handmade in Zimbabwe by the Courteney Boot Company. Made to order in men’s and women’s fit, with half sizes available. Other sole options available on request.
