Mail order – Fitting your Courteney footwear.

Everyone has unique feet, and the left foot almost always differs from the right.

The more information about your foot size that you can give us, from your personal experience and from what is in the bottom of your wardrobe, the more likely we will be able to help determine your Courteney size. We can also provide you with measuring instructions on request so please feel to contact us.

The toes should be able to move freely inside the toe box without reaching the end of the boot when wearing footwear that fits properly. It shouldn’t be possible for the foot to move back and forth.

Courteney manufactures in English full and genuine half sizes – our lasts increase by 1/4” in girth and 1/6” in length between each full and half size.

Our feet tend to splay as we become older and it is advised to size up by one-half.

Always take thick socks into account when taking your measurements.

We commonly make different sized pairs. Motorcycle accidents, landmines and polio mostly account for greatly differing sizes, but few people are symmetrical – many of us have feet that are a half size different. Provided you have tried on the boots and established which size for each foot, we will custom make a pair for you. These cannot be returned, so we do advise getting fitted first.
